Königsdorf im Tölzer Land. In der beschaulichen 3.000 Seelengemeinde öffnet sich nicht nur das Tor zu den Alpen, sondern für STAHLWILLE an diesem Tag auch das Hangartor des örtlichen Segelflugzentrums.

Dahinter: Anna Julia, Philipp, Felix und Christian. Alle sind begeisterte Flieger, studieren an der TU München und sind Teil des 40-köpfigen aktiven Teams der Akaflieg München. Die studentische Vereinigung, die in fünf Jahren ihr 100-jähriges Jubiläum feiern darf, plant, baut und modifiziert Motor- und Segelflugzeuge in Eigenregie.

Eines davon ist die Mü31. Per Hand ziehen die Studierenden das Hochleistungs-Segelflugzeug mit beachtlichen 15m Spannweite aus dem kleinen Hangar. Kurze Zeit und wenige Handgriffe später befindet sich das Flugzeug schon im Schlepptau des „Schlacro“, dem ebenfalls selbst konstruierten Motorflugzeug. Schlacro steht dabei für die Kombination aus Schlepp- und Akrobatikflugzeug. Denn das 300PS starke Flugzeug ist bis zu 521 km/h schnell, muss sich aber heute mit der Funktion als Nutzflugzeug begnügen und zieht die 240kg der Mü31 mühelos in den Himmel.

Im Cockpit schwärmt Philipp von der Faszination Fliegen: „Man kann sich in allen drei Raumdimensionen bewegen und hat nahezu keine Hindernisse.“ Um mit bis zu 285 km/h das Gefühl von grenzenloser Freiheit aufkommen zu lassen, bedarf es aber auch eines sicheren Gefühls. Damit das gelingt, vertraut die Akaflieg München auf die Luftfahrtkompetenz von STAHLWILLE.

 Gutes Werkzeug hat für uns im Flugzeugbau eine sehr hohe Bedeutung, weil wir sehr auf die Sicherheit bedacht sind und dadurch Qualität unabdingbar ist. Werkzeuge müssen für uns vor allem in engen Räumen einsetzbar sein, weil in Flugzeugen meist nicht viel Platz vorhanden ist.

Lieblingswerkzeuge sind daher vor allem die STAHLWILLE Feinzahnknarren, wie die 

, die ideal für enge Bauräume geeignet sind.

Aber auch Aufbewahrung und Mobilität spielen für die Akaflieg eine wichtige Rolle: „Früher mussten wir immer zu allen Veranstaltungen unseren großen Werkstattwagen mitnehmen, aber inzwischen haben wir von STAHLWILLE ein 

, mit dem wir das gesamte Werkzeug schnell und einfach an die jeweiligen Orte bringen können.“

Aktuell tüfteln und schrauben die Studierenden am Projekt „Reißmeister“. Das Segelkunstflugzeug, das für die Wettbewerbsklasse Unlimited konstruiert wird, ist zurzeit in der Auslegungsphase und soll optimale Abrisseigenschaften für gerissene und gestoßene Figuren aufweisen.

Und mit Sicherheit ist auch hier wieder STAHLWILLE „an Bord“.

Königsdorf in the Bavarian Tölzer Land. This quiet, homely community of only 3000 inhabitants is, on the one hand, the gateway to the Alps and, on the other, a wide-open doorway for STAHLWILLE into the local world of gliding.

The key individuals today are Anna Julia, Philipp, Felix and Christian. All of them are enthusiastic pilots, study at the TU Munich university and are members of the 40-strong Akaflieg Munich team. The student association, which celebrates its 100th anniversary in five years, designs, builds and modifies its own motorised aircraft and gliders.

One of them is the Mü31. The students move the high-performance glider with its remarkable 15-metre wingspan out of the small hangar by hand. Moments later, with a mix of dexterity and agility, the aircraft is attached to the tow rope of the "Schlacro", the towing plane, or tug, also built by the team. "Schlacro" is a combination of the German words for tug and aerobatics. The aircraft has a 300 horsepower engine and can fly at up to 521 km/h, but, today, it has to play the part of a tug and effortlessly launches the 240 kg Mü31 skywards.

In the cockpit Philipp is enthusiastic about the fascination of flying: "You can move in all three spatial dimensions, you have almost no obstacles." However, in order to create the feeling of boundless freedom at speeds of up to 285 km/h, you also need finely honed skills and a feeling for safety.

In aircraft construction and maintenance, good tools are of crucial importance to us because we are always concerned about safety, which means compromising on quality is not an option. For us, tools must be usable above all in confined spaces, because there is usually not much room in an aircraft.

For this reason, some of their favourite tools are the STAHLWILLE fine-tooth ratchets, such as the 

, which are predestined for use in confined working spaces.

But storage and mobility also play an important role for the Akaflieg team: “In the past, we always had to take a bulky tool trolley to all events but now we have an 

 from STAHLWILLE in a compact trolley, which means we can transport all the tools quickly and easily to where they are needed.”

The students are currently working on their "Reissmeister" (stall master) project. This glider, designed for the Unlimited competition class, is currently in the design phase and is expected to have optimum stall characteristics for advanced manoeuvres, like aileron (ballistic) rolls.

And STAHLWILLE will certainly be "on board" again.

Jednym z nich jest Mü31. Studenci ręcznie wypychają z małego hangaru szybowiec o niezwykłej rozpiętości skrzydeł wynoszącej 15 metrów. Kilka chwil później, korzystając z kombinacji zręczności i zwinności, mocują samolot do liny podłączonej do „Schlacro”, samolotu holowniczego lub holownika, również zbudowanego przez ten zespół. Nazwa „Schlacro” to połączenie niemieckich słów oznaczających „holownik” i „akrobacje powietrzne”. Samolot ma silnik o mocy 300 koni mechanicznych i może latać z prędkością do 521 km/h, ale dziś musi odgrywać rolę holownika i bez wysiłku wynosi 240-kilogramowy samolot Mü31.

Zasiadający w kokpicie Philipp jest entuzjastycznie nastawiony do fascynacji lataniem: „W powietrzu możesz poruszać się we wszystkich trzech wymiarach przestrzeni, nie ma prawie żadnych przeszkód”. Jednakże, aby móc osiągnąć to poczucie nieograniczonej swobody osiągane przy prędkościach do 285 km/h, potrzebujesz również doskonałych umiejętności i poczucia bezpieczeństwa.

Przy budowie i konserwacji samolotów kluczowe znaczenie mają dla nas dobre narzędzia, ponieważ zawsze dbamy o bezpieczeństwo. To oznacza, że kompromis w kwestii jakości nie wchodzi w grę. Dla nas, narzędzia muszą nadawać się przede wszystkim do użytku w ograniczonych przestrzeniach, ponieważ w samolocie zazwyczaj nie ma zbyt wiele miejsca.

Właśnie dlatego ich ulubione narzędzia to drobnozębowe grzechotki STAHLWILLE, jak np. 435QR N, przeznaczone do użytku w ograniczonych przestrzeniach roboczych.

Inne ważne kwestie dla zespołu Akaflieg to przechowywanie i mobilność: „Dotychczas na wszystkie wydarzenia zawsze musieliśmy zabierać dużą skrzynię narzędziową, ale teraz mamy zestaw AOG z firmy STAHLWILLE w kompaktowej skrzyni. Teraz możemy szybko i łatwo przenieść wszystkie narzędzia tam, gdzie są potrzebne”.

Studenci pracują obecnie nad projektem pod nazwą „Reissmeister”, którego celem jest budowa szybowca, zaprojektowanego do startów w klasie konkursowej Unlimited. Obecnie trwa faza projektowania i planują, że samolot będzie miał optymalne właściwości do wykonywania zaawansowanych manewrów, takich jak lotka.

Z pewnością STAHLWILLE będzie „na pokładzie” również tego projektu.
